Specializing in spider excavators and forestry operations in challenging terrain, difficult conditions and remote locations.
About Arc Ridge
Since 2006 Arc Ridge has operated spider excavators and conventional equipment on a variety of projects across western North America. Utilizing the unique capabilities of the spider hoe (walking excavator), we are able to conduct operations in conditions where traditional equipment can not. Spiders can operate on slopes exceeding 100%, in water depths of 1.8m and in soft or extremely rocky conditions. In addition to the typical digging duty of an excavator, the spider hoe provides excellent tool carrier capability for a wide range of attachments including grapples, mowers/mulchers, breakers, drills, tampers, drills, forestry felling and processing equipment, and winches. Previous spider projects have included utility and industrial construction, transportation construction and repairs, instream and habitat restoration, hazardous wastes clean-up, test pit digging, firesmart treatments, steep slope highway fencing, rock scaling and wildland fireguard construction.
