Spider (Walking) Excavators

Spider excavators for operations on challenging terrain and conditions, ensuring efficiency, precision, safety and low impact. Where conventional equipment can't operate, spiders excel. Capable of operating on slopes up to 100%, in 1.8m of water, and on soft or delicate soils, spiders expand the envelope of machine operations. Varied attachments and fully biodegradable hydraulic oils assist the spider in completing operations in the most sensitive and restricted sites.

Spider excavators are commonly used for steep slope construction, work in or around streams, forestry operations, habitat rehabilitation, rock scaling, utility construction, erosion repairs, spill clean-up, test pits and wildfire fighting. Available attachments include buckets, wrists, rotary grapples, mulchers, breakers, winches, tree felling heads and harvestors, winches and drills.

Mini-Excavator, Bobcat and General Excavation

Mini-excavators, bobcats, track dumpers and other compact earthmoving equipment services are available working out of either our Vernon or Canmore locations. Various sizes of equipment is available to suit a wide range of tasks. In addition, these resources are available to assist in spider excavator operations.

Forestry and Firesmart Services

Arc Ridge provides forestry services to public and private organizations throughout Western North America. Services include firesmart treatments, park and trail construction, danger tree assessing and falling, brush clearing, selective harvesting, thinning, and debris clean-up and disposal.
